Job Description
Resurrection-St. Paul School, located in Ellicott City, Maryland seeks a highly skilled individual to serve as one of two middle school English Language Arts Teachers for the 2021-2022 school year.
Resurrection-St. Paul School provides a Catholic education through excellent academic and extracurricular programs that promote leadership, achievement, and service within the church and community. We are a STEM accredited school through Cognia and offer a 1:1 Chromebook program for Grades 1-8. This is an in-person teaching opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute an instructional program that upholds the values and ideals of the Catholic Church and the mission of Resurrection-St. Paul School.
- Meet the needs, interests and abilities of students in accordance with the curriculum. Effective instruction will include differentiated learning.
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times, and for classroom management using PBIS (positive behavior intervention and support) protocols.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration to plan, implement and evaluate the instructional program.
- Must be proficient in using a variety of technology during daily lessons as well as to enrich and differentiate instruction
Job Requirements
- Degree in Education with a English, Literature or similar concentration
- MSDE teacher certification in Secondary Education for ELA
- Knowledge of curriculum, and principles and practices of pedagogy
- Follows and maintains knowledge of all AOB policies and procedures.
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of Resurrection-St. Paul School and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
