Teacher, High School English in Baltimore, MD at The Archdiocese of Baltimore

Our Lady of Mount Carmel School located in Essex, Maryland has an opening for a High School English Teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to teach in a diverse, faith-based, nurturing environment. Candidates must be knowledgeable about current instructional strategies and be skilled at creating lessons with high levels of student engagement for students in grades 6-12. This is an in-person teaching opportunity.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement Daily lessons for students based on school curriculum
• Manage all aspects of the classroom (including but not limited to: instruction, discipline, communication etc.)
• Perform assigned teacher duties on a rotating schedule with rest of the faculty
• Attend all faculty meetings and in-services
• Moderate club
• Participate in school community events (including but not limited to: graduations, award ceremonies, festivals, and open houses)
• Communicate student progress with parents through in person and online systems
