Job Description
Immaculate Conception School, located in Towson, Maryland seeks an enthusiastic and creative Elementary School Science teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. Teacher is responsible for developing lessons and labs for students in grades K - 3. Science teachers play an integral role in promoting and maintaining our Green School Initiatives as well as the cross-curricular STEM approach to learning.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines that motivate, challenge, and engage students.
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Respond to parent communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.
- Support the school’s culture of respect through effective classroom management techniques (PBIS).
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration.
- Integrate technology where appropriate to enhance instruction.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Elementary or Early Childhood Education, concentration in science is preferred, but not required
- Current MSDE certification or enrollment in MSDE approved program working towards certification
- Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred, but not required
- Must be comfortable with technology including Google G-Suite for Education
