Resource Teacher in Elkridge, Maryland at The Archdiocese of Baltimore

Saint Augustine Catholic School, located in Elkridge, MD, has an opening for a full-time, ten-month, resource teacher to begin in August 2021. The resource teacher will be responsible for working with small groups of students in grades PK3-8 to provide additional support in all academic areas, concentrated in reading and math, aligned with the Archdiocesan Curriculum. This position also provides direct resource support to teachers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides research-based interventions, accommodations, and modifications to curriculum for identified students in grades PK3-8th grade.
• Provides small group instruction to identified children
• Collaborates with other members of the academic team in planning and implementing the instructional program
• Serves on the Resource Team along with the principal, assistant principal, school counselor, and school nurse
• Implements all components of the AOB Inclusion Manual Serves as the Student Advocacy Team chair Assesses and documents all instructional programs
• Serves as advocate for students at various public meetings
• Attends faculty, curriculum and team meetings (held before the opening of school and throughout the school year), and will attend professional days and workshops
• Maintains an attractive, organized, and engaged learning environment
• Attends school events such as Meet and Greet, Back-to-School Nights, Open Houses, and Eighth Grade Graduation
