Job Description
The Sacred Heart Catholic School, located in Glyndon, Maryland seeks candidates for the position of Principal to begin July 1, 2021. The School serves over 480 students in Pre-School through Grade 8. The School exists to develop the unique, God-given gifts of each student in a safe, nurturing, and diverse environment through innovative academics, service to others, and spiritual preparation for a fulfilling life that follows in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.
The Principal is ultimately responsible for overseeing an instructional plan that is consistent with the mission, philosophy, goals and objectives of the school.The Principal will implement the educational ministry of The Sacred Heart School ensuring its Catholic identity. The Principal reports to the Pastor and the Superintendent of Catholic Schools.
Job Requirements
- Practicing Catholic with a demonstrated commitment to the mission of Catholic education
- MSDE Admin II certification
- A minimum of five years teaching experience at the elementary level
- Three years of elementary (K-8) teaching experience in a Catholic School
- Prior experience as an Assistant Principal/Principal preferred
