Instructional Assistant in Bel Air, MD at The Archdiocese of Baltimore

Saint Margaret School, located in Bel Air, MD, has an opening for a full-time Instructional Aide effective August 27, 2018.  The candidate will be assisting teachers and working with students in an educational setting.  This position schedule follows the school calendar and is benefit eligible.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church
• Provide instructional support to all students
• Practice professional standards of conduct, including requirement of confidentiality
• Provide behavioral support
• Demonstrate knowledge and application of elements of effective instruction
• Demonstrate ability to use appropriate strategies to provide instructional support in teaching and learning
• Safely and actively supervise students both inside and outside of the classroom
• Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher, staff, and administration
• Attend faculty orientation, various meetings and faculty retreat
• Perform various duties such as recess, lunch, etc.
• Implement behavioral management strategies using same emphasis and techniques as teacher
• Assist and monitor small groups and individual students as designated by teacher
• Monitor progress of students and provide feedback to teacher
