Job Description

Our Lady of Perpetual Help, located in Ellicott City, Maryland, is a vibrant parish of 1,700 families in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, renewed by the Holy Spirit and responding to the call of the new evangelization by sharing the Good News in fresh and innovative ways with both the un-churched and those in the pews in need of re-evangelization.  We are committed to a discipleship strategy that forms missionary disciples who have encountered the Lord, experienced deep conversion of heart, and made a commitment to follow Jesus as His disciple in daily life as they live out their mission.

We are seeking a Director of New Evangelization and Missionary Discipleship for Youth - Grades 6-12, an individual who is energized by this vision and will serve the spiritual needs of our youth to awaken their desire to live their life in action and on mission, in love for God and neighbor and with a passion for the Great Commission.  We invite experienced youth ministers excited by this opportunity to apply for this position.

Job Responsibilities (Vision):

  • Design, develop and implement a dynamic youth ministry and faith formation program (including preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation) to form our youth in Grades 6-12 as missionary disciples of Jesus Christ.  The director of this position will work with an assistant director on staff to bring this vision to life for our youth by providing opportunities to encounter the Lord, to hear and experience the call to conversion of heart, and to respond as committed disciples who know their gifts and mission.

 

 

Job Requirements

  • Must be a practicing Catholic able to participate in the Sacramental life of the Church
  • Bachelor's degree in Theology or related field is preferred
