Job Description

St. Louis Catholic Elementary School seeks dynamic candidates for the position of Coordinator of Academic Affairs.  Reporting directly to the Principal, the Coordinator is responsible for parent communication to include, student behavior, curriculum, standardized testing and results.  The Coordinator will also be responsible for assisting teachers with Power School (input and questions), and navigatiing Rubicon Atlas (curriculum mapping software).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Principal with informal and formal observations of faculty
  • Coordinates the interviewing process for substitute teachers, coordinates the substitutes and subs as necessary
  • Coordinates the standardized testing program; addresses questions and concerns regarding results
  • Liasons with Teaching Assistants
  • Updates as needed the Parent/Student Handbook, the Faculty Handbook and the Emergency Manual
  • Creates the class schedule yearly
  • Composes the weekly bulletin
  • Assists with supervision of students as needed
  • Serves on various committees as requested
  • Attends all school sponsored events and activities
  • Performs additional duties at the discretion of the principal

 

Job Requirements

  • Master's Degree, MSDE teaching certification and Admin 1 preferred
  • Practicing Roman Catholic
  • Minimum of ten years elementary teaching experience with Catholic school experience
  • proficient with Technology, google classroom, multimedia equipment to include,interactive white boards, LCD projector, Apple TV and Document Camera.
  • Must have an appreciation and understanding of Catholic School education.
