Job Description

Archbishop Borders School, the only dual language school in the Archdiocese of Baltimore is looking for a personable and professional bilingual front office administrative assistant. The ideal candidate will be able to work Monday thru Friday from7:30-3:30. This position will report to the Principal.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide a welcoming environment in the school office
  • Be a source of accurate information on school events and activities, providing customer service to students, parents, and visitors.
  • Answer phones and assist with security entrance of visitors.
  • Assist the principal, assistant principal, advancement director, and HSA with all tasks as requested.
  • Receive and distribute mail and other packages.
  • Handle school mailings, bulk, and otherwise
  • Assist advancement director with admissions paperwork
  • Prepare and organize marketing mailings as directed
  • Maintain substitute list, assist with securing substitute teachers, and ensure that substitute teacher receives teacher’s emergency plans.
  • Use phone system and change messages as needed, assist with copies, etc.
  • Assist with new hire paperwork
  • Assist with creating and distributing Wednesday Folders
  • Provide written and verbal translation as needed

Job Requirements

  • Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and English required.
  • High school diploma required, some college preferred.
  • Proficient in Google Suite
  • Able to multitask and remain flexible to the demands of a busy front office
