Job Description

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School (K-12) has an immediate need for a Director of Admissions. The Director of Admissions, reporting directly to the President of the School, is responsible for representing and communicating Our Lady of Mount Carmel School’s programs to the public; creating and following a sequential strategy for cultivating the interest in Our Lady of Mount Carmel school among boys and girls in the Kindergarten through twelfth grades; supervising the admissions process’ planning and managing on and off-campus admissions events.

  • The Director provides direction and guidance in planning, coordinating, and implementation of a comprehensive program for student recruitment and retention and works with the development team in admissions and development efforts.
  • To oversee the program of admissions of new students to the school.
  • To represent the school to prospective students and parents
  • Manage Prospective Student Visitors
  • Manage the coordination of all Open Houses
  • Coordinate Catholic Middle School Visits and High School Fairs
  • Actively evaluate and redesign where appropriate all aspects of the admissions and marketing program with the goal of maintaining a capacity enrollment of qualified students
  • To manage and oversee the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Website
  • To manage and oversee the Marketing efforts for the admissions and development offices
  • To participate in all activities with the Development department as required or requested.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in enrollment management, development, sales, marketing, communication, and/or volunteer management.
  • Ability to appreciate and communicate a passion for Catholic elementary education
  • Demonstrated leadership and effectiveness in developing and accomplishing organizational goals
  • Ability to build a team, effectively recruiting and managing volunteers
  • Superior communication skills, ability to conceptualize and execute strategic plans, the ability to interact confidently and effectively with school staff, students, donors, trustees, school administration, the media and alumni
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and the Internet
  • Experience in a parochial or not-for-profit environment preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field strongly preferred
