Job Description

St. Mary High School located in Annapolis, Maryland has an opening for the 2019-2020 school year. This is a full-time faculty position in a Catholic, coeducational, college-preparatory setting. Candidates should have an active faith life and an informed understanding of the mission of the Roman Catholic Church and the many ways in which that mission applies to the formation of young men and women in a Catholic school setting. The candidate must be qualified to teach courses in all levels of Chemistry, and college preparatory Physics.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Promote and support the school’s mission as defined in the Faculty Handbook.
  • Required to perform all designated proctoring assignments.
  • Required to use electronic software for the recording of grades and keep grades current for students and parents viewing.
  • Required to continue the process of curriculum mapping using the Atlas software.
  • Participate in a minimum of one major school extracurricular event and one activity designated on the list provided by the school administration.
  • Develop and maintain LMS information for all courses.
  • Participate in Open House, Baccalaureate and Commencement Exercises, faculty meetings, faculty retreat, EQUIP, and other designated development exercises related to fulfillment of professional responsibilities.
  • Be knowledgeable of and adhere to the information, policies, and rules contained in the Faculty Handbook.
  • Be present at all student assemblies, student liturgies, and in-school student activities in order to provide supervision.

Job Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Chemistry / Science, or a related field.
  • MSDE certification are required.
  • Master’s Degree, preferred.
  • High school teaching experience is preferred.
