Job Description

Providing the families of Parkville and the surrounding areas a solid Catholic Education for over 75 years, St. Ursula School seeks a dynamic educational leader for Principal. St. Ursula School, with a current student population of 655 (pre-k-Grade 8), offers an integrated faith-based curriculum that is both comprehensive and rigorous. Challenging academic courses are aligned with both Archdiocesan and national standards.

The Principal is ultimately responsible for overseeing an instructional plan that is consistent with the mission, philosophy, goals and objectives of the school. All school programs and activities are strategically designed to ensure that every graduate of St. Ursula School is formed in faith, educated for excellence, and prepared to serve. Religion and technology are integrated throughout all content areas, and a variety of before and after-school programs are structured to meet the needs of each child. The Principal reports directly to the Superintendent of Catholic Schools.

Job Requirements

  • Teaching experience at the elementary level K-8 and three years of leadership (Principal or Assistant Principal) experience in an elementary Catholic school.
  • Maryland certification as a Principal (ADMIN II).
  • Practicing Catholic, fully able to model Christian values, adhere to the teachings of the church, and actively participate in the sacramental life of the Church.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and vision to create and inspire the school community in the creation of a unique school in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission of Catholic education while ensuring its Catholic identity.
