If this is your calling, come join our team as the Coordinator of Outreach and Education.

In this critical role, you will organize digital and other outreach to parishes and local communities.  You will be of direct service, as you support and train existing parish Respect Life Coordinators and recruit Respect Life Coordinators in other parish communities.You'll also have responsibility to organize and promote events within the four pillars of the Pastoral Plan for Pro-life Activities: prayer, education, policy, and pastoral care.

Other duties will include:

  • Creating and executing education/formation campaigns on respect life issues for parishes and the broader community
  • Managing Respect Life websites and social media
  • Drafting Respect Life & Project Rachel e-newsletters.
  • Working with Coordinator of Pastoral Care to create opportunities for education and service

Job Requirements

To be considered 'best qualified', candidates should possess the following qualifications,

  • Undergraduate Degree with communications and ministry background helpful but not required. Must have knowledge of theology and Catholic social teaching.

  • 2-3 years prior administrative experience; prior involvement in education, advocacy, or programs focusing on life issues; familiarity with the structure and major programs of the Catholic Church
  • Ability to thoughtfully and faithfully address sensitive issues like abortion, miscarriage, post-abortion healing, grief, physician-assisted suicide, euthanasia, etc.
