Job Description

St. Joseph Catholic Church in Odenton, MD currently has an opening for a part-time administrative assistant for 16 hours per week, Monday-Thursday to support the Parish Staff and our ministries.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors
  • Help answer incoming telephone calls
  • Perform a variety of clerical and general office tasks, such as: sort and distribute mail, typing, filing, copying, scanning
  • Performs other duties as requested

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma
  • Active, practicing Catholic familiar with our faith traditions and the mission of the Catholic Church
  • Polite and professional telephone communication skills
  • Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Ability to take initiative and work effectively with a team
